Welcome to the 2012
Peninsula Pony Baseball Season
Our season begins on Saturday, March 3rd and concludes Saturday, June 9th with our Championship Game and Closing Ceremonies.
The league consists of 10 teams with 12 players on each team. Our players’ ages are 13 and 14 years old and are in 7th and 8th grade. We welcome players from the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Lomita, San Pedro, Harbor City and those residing in the TAB boundaries of Torrance. All games are played on our two local fields, George Allen in Palos Verdes Estates and Ernie Howlett in Rolling Hills Estates.
Registration is closed for the season. Due to a lack of available field space on the Peninsula and our desire to maintain enough practice times for our teams, we must limit our program to 10 teams.
In addition to our Spring Season, we have a Winter program that plays on Sundays only from mid-September through late November. This is an excellent opportunity for those players new to Pony and a way for current players to maintain their skills during the off-season. Registration is open on August 1st.
2013 Spring registration will open on November 1st. We usually fill up in less than 30 days and we urge everyone to register early to avoid disappointment.
For many of our players, this is their final opportunity to refine their skills one last time as they prepare for entry into the High School programs next season. Our league follows and plays by the "Official Rules of Pony League Baseball".
